Two 3.5 inch internal hard drives join our product survey: the Western Digital VelociRaptor 600 GB and Caviar Black 2 TB.
WD has recently updated its VelociRaptor which returns in an even higher performance version, even bigger... even fiercer. Who can stop the old dinosaur? Will it cause carnage in our tests once again?
For several years now at WD, when you're not fighting off the VelociRaptors or Scorpions - the laptop range - you're stuffing your face with Caviar. And there's Caviar for all tastes: green for energy economy and silence, blue for allround usage and black for no-concession performance. And it's a black we're looking at today: the WD2001FASS also called the Caviar Black 2 TB.
