The Intel Core i7 970 and i5 760 in the processor face-off

Intel recently introduced price cuts for some of its processors and added some new references to the catalogue. We have received these new models and their test results are now available.

So yes, we do have the Intel Core i970, the new Intel 6-core. Although announced as accessible in financial terms, it starts at the very high price tag of over £650 in online shops.

In any case, we have added the results of our tests to the processor face-off. You can, for example, compare it to the Core i7 980X or see how it does against the AMD Phenom II X6 1090T (6 cores, around £250). You'll also find the results for the Core i5 760.
