HTC has announced the upcoming release of the Sensation XE, a new version of the popular Sensation smartphone that's sure to appeal to music fans thanks to built-in Beats Audio technology. It'll even come with a pair of Beats by Dre in-ear headphones.

This new Android 2.3 smartphone from HTC promises high-fidelity sound and a boosted battery life for extended playback (1730 mAh battery).

It has a 4.3-inch qHD (540 X 960 pixels) touchscreen display, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, an 8-Megapixel camera with LED flash, 1 GB of memory built-in and a 16 GB memory card included for extra storage space.

The HTC XE measures 126.1 x 65.4 x 11.3 mm and isn't the lightest of smartphones out there at 151 g.

The Sensation XE with Beats Audio is coming to the UK on 1 October and is due to cost around £492 for the handset only. Contract pricing information is still to be confirmed.
