Hero, Legend, Desire, Incredible: HTC certainly knows how to pick the names for its Android phones. The Incredible is the latest high-end smartphone to run Android 2.1 and will be available on US network Verizon Wireless at the end of the month. Will it score another five score rating?

There's no doubting that HTC is going places with its range of Android-based smartphones. Ever since it released the Hero, the Taiwanese manufacturer has produced a very strong collection of Google phones which have mixed its own attractive Sense software layer with an impeccable finish. The Legend and the Desire are both evidence of this: both came away with five stars.
On paper, the Incredible looks like it could be another successful handset: its 3.7'' capacitative AMOLED touchscreen has a resolution of 400 x 840 pixels, its Qualcomm Snapdragon processor runs at 1 GHz and its 8 Megapixel camera is boosted by an LED flash. It will work on the CDMA network, which isn't supported in Europe, and comes with both WiFi and GPS.
For the time being, we don't yet know whether there'll be a version of the Incredible that will work on this side of the Atlantic.
