While HP recently announced that webOS was to become an open source operating system, the firm hasn't turned its back on users. HP is, in fact, continuing to develop webOS for the TouchPad, which was sold off at a bargain price of under £100 last summer. This latest update brings improvements to e-mail management, speeds things up when flicking between pages and generally makes operation smoother.
A webOS update is also available (version 2.2.4) for the Pre 2 and 3 with, among other things, an improved diary and contacts list.
