How Much for a Blu-ray Player?

The most popular Blu-ray player out there is the Sony Playstation 3. But if you don't actually want to play games, or watch Blu-ray 3D discs, then you might find spending £250 a little excessive.

But there's good news: you can get Blu-ray players for less than a £100, and add 3D for not much more. At the moment, Philips has some of the most aggressive pricing. The first four on show below are 2D, and the next four have 3D too.

We've already got our first New Year's Resolution for 2011: we're going to start taking a serious look at Blu-ray players to see which are the best, the fastest and with the widest range of formats supported.
