Why pay more?

The BH-102 does the job of a Bluetooth headset just fine, so what's the point of going for a more expensive model?
It's a very sensible question, with two different answers. If you only need to use a headset from time to time, then there's not much point in breaking the bank.
If, on the other hand, you need to make intensive use of a headset, then you'll want something more robust, more discreet and with better battery life--some headsets even include rechargeable batteries, for instance.

"Everybody knows about Bluetooth, and they know it's expensive. All you have to do is look around you: nobody uses it." We hear sentiments like this all the time, and they're not entirely false.
However, there are also some cheaper options, and the BH-102 is one example.
Fit and features: what you'd expect at this price
The BH-102 is an entry-level headset, so we obviously weren't expecting it to be well-finished or use top quality materials. And we were right: the BH-102 isn't a showy product and makes no claims to be a luxury option, which is just as well. It does the job and looks relatively discrete, and that's about it.
Nevertheless, we still might have hoped for something a little less bulky. And aren't you forgetting something Nokia? A volume control perhaps?
Audio Quality: just the same
There were no real surprises with the quality of the audio, apart from the lack of the volume control we mentioned earlier. It's thoroughly entry-level, but has what it needs to work well. In short, the sound produced by this headset is a long way from hi-fi quality--this is, after all, a Bluetooth headset. That said, it's not worth trying it out in a windy environment, unless you want to blow your caller's ears off thanks to the microphone that doesn't filter anything out at all.
The BH-102 is a good way to explore the world of Bluetooth without breaking the bank--a good way to try the technology out without risking disappointment if you later find it's not for you.

Pluses
-
An entry-level product, but not cheap
-
Very reasonable audio quality
Minuses
-
Finished in typical entry-level materials
-
A little too bulky
-
No volume control
Bluetooth isn't necessarily for everybody, but the BH-102 allows you to try it out and enjoy reasonable quality for a relatively modest investment. You can then move on to something better if you enjoy it
