Careful with the remote

Note that the S4is were developed specifically for the Apple iPhone. If you own a different phone or MP3 player (apart from the iPod Touch), then it's very unlikely that the remote control and microphone will work.
If that's the case for you, we recommend you go for the S4s. If you have a handsfree kit that you can't split apart (that is, the mic is attached to the headphones), then you obviously won't be able to use them to them to make calls.

The Image S2m headphones are the iPhone-compatible version of the Image S4 headphones we tested. With in-line controls and a microphone, this version allows you to make calls and adjust the volume. Apart from that, though, the two products are entirely identical.
Pluses
-
Very clean, neutral sound
-
Comfortable to wear with the wire over your ear
-
Shiny treble doesn't become aggressive
Minuses
-
Not enough sizes and styles of earbuds
-
Cable too short
The latest generation of in-ear headphones is clearly here, and they aren't scared to take on the big boys. It's a shame that the S4s come with so few accessories, though, as they came very close to getting five stars.
