Conclusion
This is a well-rounded graphics card with decent enough power use and gaming performances. However, make sure you pick up a modified model, as cards using the standard cooling system (seen in the Nvidia reference card) are way too noisy.
This graphics card delivers a high level of performance while limiting power consumption. It's therefore clearly possible to increase performance from one generation to the next without upping power use too much.
Pros

+

Competitive gaming performances

+

Power use

+

Nice extra functions: framerate capping, advanced vertical sync, etc.

+

44% faster than the previous generation (Radeon HD 6850)

+

ZeroCore Power function

+

Low power consumption

Cons

-

Noisy, unpleasant fan

-

GPU Boost can lead to minor differences in performance between cards

-

Fan can be heard working at idle in the generic reference model
