To mark the transition to our updated graphics card review procedure, we've put a load of cards through their paces with our new tests! We've tested three new graphics cards, as well as re-testing 11 of the cards we'd already reviewed.
Two of new graphics cards we've got hold of are heavyweight models from AMD and NVIDIA. In fact, the Radeon HD 6990 and GeForce GTX 590 both have two GPUs for seriously boosted performances. The two chips share out the processing work and ensure extra-high performances for demanding gamers. But which model is faster, the most energy efficient and quietest? Find out in our reviews.
We also tested the Radeon HD 6790, a card that's in the same price bracket as NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 550. Although the two models may look similar, they do have a few important differences!
Finally, we re-tested 11 of the graphics cards we'd already reviewed using our new test procedure. The re-tested models include cards from the Radeon HD 6000 and GeForce 500 ranges, as well as three old-generation cards.
Don't forget, you can see all our test results in the graphics card face-off. Plus, you can compare and contrast graphics cards using our product index tables.
