The PS1000 Dual Analog Pad is in the middle of Saitek's range. That means it has all the essentials: four buttons, four triggers (two of which are analogue), two joysticks and a directional pad. It's compatible with both PCs and the PlayStation 2 and 3.
Left: PS2700. Right: PS1000
We do relies that having the joysticks in the same place as they are on the PS3 controller can be a pain for some players, especially if you're used to the Xbox 360's joypad. That's why we've reduced the final score.
Pluses
-
Accurate, responsive joysticks
-
Great finish
-
Great handling
-
Joystick accuracy can be increased on the fly
Minuses
-
Software tool is hard to use
The PS1000 offers great value for money, but it isn't far off our top score of five stars. It's an excellent choice if you're looking for a good all-round controller that isn't expensive and if the layout of the controls suits you.
