No Software
Unlike certain competitors, Memup doesn't supply any file syncing or encryption software with this hard drive. That's a shame, as these apps can be handy for backing up data and for keeping important files safe from prying eyes.
The Memup Kiosk LS Mini Series is a 2.5-inch portable external hard drive. Measuring just 121 x 83 x 18 mm, it slips easily into a pocket or bag for discreet data transportation.
This LS Mini Series hard drive is available in a selection of colours, with white/grey, pink/white, blue/white and all-black models to choose from. As you can see in the picture above, this HDD has a self-powered USB 2.0 connection. The drive is available with 320, 500 or 750 GB of memory.
Data Transfer Speeds
As is all too often the case, performances are capped by the USB 2.0 interface. As a result, this hard drive can only manage read speeds of 34.6 MBps and write speeds 29.9 MBps.
Portability
As we said above, the compact casing of the LS Mini makes it easy to carry around. Its lightweight 180 g design helps too. There are smaller and lighter drives out there, including 1.8-inch disks, but these only have a maximum capacity of 250 GB and work out more expensive per MB.

As with other USB 2.0 external hard drives, data transfer speeds in the Memup LS Mini are capped by the interface. The best thing about this drive is therefore its compact and portable design.
