Although we've known about Sony's Wii-style Move control system for some time now, the brand has now set an official UK launch date of 15 September, and has announced upcoming retail prices (in dollars).
The PS Move control system will cost $49.99, the PS Move bundled with the Playstation Eye (the camera needed to use the system) will cost $99.99, and a Navigation Controller (a bit like the Wii's nunchuck) will be available for $29.99.
Users looking to buy the console will be able to pick up a pack containing the PS3, PS Move, PlayStation Eye and a Sports Champion game for $399.

The second announcement was the creation of a PlayStation Plus service, due to launch on 29 June. Members ($50 a year or $19.99 for 3 months) will have access to a range of services, one of the most interesting of which is the ability to download any game and test it for one hour with no gameplay restrictions (single-player, multi-player etc.). Try before you buy—nice! Sony is promising members a minimum of four games per month (1 x PSN, 2 x minis, 1 x PS One classic), as well as the opportunity to take part in beta tests and get all kinds of discounts. It looks pretty good, and should certainly appeal to heavyweight gamers.
