If the future of one games console looks to be hanging in the balance, it's certainly Nintendo's Wii. Although the Wii was barely mentioned at the Nintendo conference at this year's E3 video games show—apart from to announce the latest instalment of Zelda (Skyward Sword)—Wii gamers will no doubt be pleased to hear that a new version of Mario Party is in the pipeline!
After a rather disappointing Mario Party 8, followed by the much better Wii Party, Nintendo is hoping to breathe a new lease of life into the series and jump-start its flagging interactive console with Mario Party 9. This new Mario adventure will hopefully be more innovative and original than the previous version of the game.
