Made entirely from its iconic, brightly coloured building bricks, Lego's new digital camera is sure to please fledgling photographers and the young at heart. This block-based construction is a fully functioning compact camera that can be embellished with your own creations.
Made by Digital Blue, a firm that specialises in making digital toys for brands like Barbie and Lego, the Lego Digital Camera unfortunately can't be taken apart, but the standard bricks on the camera's upper edge mean you can stick on all kinds of creations or integrate it into Lego structures.
LEGO Digital Camera
Although it could well appeal to nostalgic tech geeks, this camera is first and foremost a kids' toy, as the low-grade tech specs show. It has a 3-Megapixel sensor and the lens has no zoom or focusing functions, which is rarely a sign of quality. It has a tiny 1.5-inch LCD, there's no SD card slot and the internal memory of 128 MB can only store 80 photos. The Lego camera charges via its USB port, which is also used for downloading photos onto a computer.
