The Nikon S3000 series has some of the most widely sold compacts on the market. And the S3300 has one feature its predecessors don't: a real image stabiliser. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean the overall picture quality will be good...


On paper, it's all been-there-done-that, with a 16 Mpx CCD sensor, a 6x zoom lens, a 230,000 dpi TN screen, and so on. But the Nikon Coolpix S3300 could very well be the first model in the series to get three stars from us (meaning that it simply does its job without any particular stand-out strengths or weaknesses).
