Conclusion
The Canon PowerShot SX280 HS is a successful update of the SX260 HS, bringing Wi-Fi connectivity and the DIGIC 6 image processor for boosted responsiveness and improved picture quality. All in all, this is a very good superzoom compact. Still, competitors are already moving ahead, sometimes with better technology and a wider range of options.
The Acer Liquid E1 is nothing revolutionary, but it does what it's supposed to. You just have to be (very) tolerant with a number of things, such as the camera and battery life. And Acer's partnership with DTS, which is supposed to be a selling point, is not.
