Conclusion
The fifth generation of the iPhone is an effective high-end smartphone. More powerful than the 4S (as one should expect) though not a game changer either, the iPhone 5's primary selling points are a lighter body, quicker execution and excellent multimedia capacities. Its weaknesses? A GPS function in need of revision and average battery life that isn't quite enough for intensive use.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 delivers a first-rate user experience. With its top-notch hardware, this handset never flinches or falters. On top of that, Samsung has loaded the S3 with plenty of innovative new software features—most of which are pretty good—as well as an excellent camera and a powerful battery. The Galaxy S3 is clearly an iconic new Android phone, but for such an exciting handset, it's a shame to see such a conventional design.
Nokia's high-end Windows Phone is a good smartphone that's responsive and has a satisfactory battery life and free and efficient web browsing services. A good handset for users looking for something other than another gigantic Android phone.
The iPhone 4S is as easy to use as ever, and sees the arrival of several improvements. The most substantial of these include visibly better photos from the digital camera and the faster processor speeds. The new voice services from Siri are a clear part of Apple's strategy to add more and more services to the basic product—we're just looking forward to seeing it work with some more apps!
