We've updated our compact and hybrid camera buyer's guides with the best products on the market right now.The compact camera buyer's guide has waved goodbye to Canon's Ixus 220 and Ixus 115. But the main reason they've gone is that Canon is phasing them out, with no real direct replacements to take up the gauntlet—the firm's new Ixus cameras are more expensive and the Ixus 115 is nowhere neat as cute as the 220. Anyway, they've been replaced by the Ixus 500, an ultra-compact superzoom, and the highly original Nikon Coolpix S30, a low-cost waterproof snapper for kids.
There haven't been quite as many changes in our pick of favourite hybrid cameras (interchangeable lens compacts), with the Sony NEX-5N making way for the NEX-F3, which offers identical performances but with a built-in flash and a more attractive price tag.
