Camera Reviews: Pentax RZ18 and Nikon S6200 Budget Superzooms

While Canon and Sony reign supreme in the high-end superzoom compact market, there are plenty of cheaper options out there, including the Pentax RZ18 and the Nikon S6200.

The Pentax Optio RZ18 uses a lens with the same specs as the Nikon S9100 (25-450 mm f/3.5-5.9, 4 cm macro) but has a 16-Megapixel CCD sensor instead of the BSI CMOS favoured by Nikon.

The Nikon Coolpix S6200 has a slightly more basic set of tech specs, with a 25-250mm f/3.2-5.8 lens and a fairly unexceptional 16-Megapixel CCD.
