Digital Camera Buyer's Guide Updated

Compact or SLR?  Camera or camcorder? The current trend in the camera market is to mix everything up, with the distinction between different products becoming ever more blurred. But fear not—our buyer's guide is on hand to help you find just what you're looking for!

There hasn't been much change to the entry-level choices in our buyer's guide, as autumn is traditionally a time when manufacturers update higher-end models. However, you'll find new additions to our bridge, expert compact and interchangeable lens compact categories.

Note that the Canon PowerShot S100 has already been tested in our labs but the full review isn't quite ready yet. Having seen the lab results, however, we already know that this camera is set to become the must-have expert compact of the moment. Stay tuned for the review.
