The 2012 generation of the 27" iMac is slimmer than ever (bye-bye DVD drive), and has lots of computing and gaming power. Oh yeah, and both the screen and audio are top-notch. This is one excellent all-in-one computer! All it really needs is a TV tuner and a less snooty price.
The More Affordable Alternative
HP Envy 23 TouchSmart
The HP Envy 23 TouchSmart may not quite rival Apple's all-in-ones, but it's also less expensive... With its TV features, great processing power and quality design, the Envy 23 is definitely worth four stars. The only things that really hold it back are shoddy audio, a TN panel and a somewhat pointless touch experience.
The Hybrid All-In-One/Tablet
Sony Vaio Tap 20
While the Vaio Tap 20 is definitely not one of the best all-in-ones in terms of processing, connectivity and extra features, Sony did grab our attention with a comfortable touch experience, a convertible design and a well-configured screen. But to get more than three stars, Sony will have to revise a number of things, such as the speaker quality and the graphics.
