The new Crucial SSD C300 kit supplies tools to change the drive more easily.
We've already written about the Crucial RealSSD C300 drives (64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB). They are now available in a kit that contains the drive, an SATA-USB data transfer cable and cloning software.
This makes copying your old drive to your new one much simpler. You can, for example, copy a PC or laptop drive without having to reinstall the whole operating system and software or configuration files (mails, appearance, games and so on), which are operations that are generally take a great deal of time and effort.
Here, you plug your new drive into a USB socket, start the cloning software, unplug everything after copying and simply install the SSD in place of the old drive. Easy and quick!
Most SSD manufacturers have moreover understood that what was holding back many consumers was the problem of installation. Facilitating the installation of a new drive also therefore facilitates SSD sales and gives access to their formidable performance levels, resistance and quietness to a broader section of users. Other brands such as Kingston, offer similar kits or are making their drives with a USB socket as well as SATA (Buffalo, Integral,...) to facilitate connection to laptops during cloning.
The 128 GB and 256 GB RealSSD C300 kits are on sale at £333.69 and £612.16 respectively on Crucial's site.
