The 27'' screen on the 2010 version of Apple's iMac has an impressive 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution.  That's a standard designed to beat 30'' displays and represents the top of the range for LCD monitors. 

Apple doesn't go in for any half measures in describing this 27'' iMac as the 'ultimate all-in-on home computer: now with the ultimate display'.  Let's see if they manage to live up to this bold claim and whether their engineers have been working as hard as its marketing team ...
