Unique!

We know of no other calculator mouse. The nearest competitor is probably from Razer. The Naga has 12 buttons on the side but it doesn't know how to count. They're gamer buttons, not for doing your sums.

Canon has launched a mouse. Now there's a surprise! Does it serve as a printer or camera at the same time? No. But it does integrate another of Canon's speciality products, not perhaps what the company is best known for but all the same: a calculator.

It's a laser mouse, wireless (Bluetooth), for office documents. And its shell is covered in buttons which allow you to add up and multiply to your heart's content.

The first thing many of you will be wondering about is whether the buttons make handling difficult? Not at all. Whether your palm rests on them or not, they don't pose any problem. Don't worry, you won't start keying numbers and subtracting them by mistake: to launch the calculator, you have to press on the ON button first. Plus it turns off automatically (or at least its LCD screen does) after a few minutes of innactivity.

Beyond this unusual feature, we have to be honest, this mouse has very little else to offer, technically speaking. Its styling is resolutely 80s. It doesn't sit under your fingers well. The buttons are hard and noisy. The glide, handled by four small round rollers, is poor. As a result, in spite of actually being relatively light it gives the impression of being rather heavy and clumsy.
