Sony has just announced a new series of USB 2.0 keys Micro Vault Style keys. Small and light, 4.6 mm thick and just 4 g, they're as easy as anything to slip into your pocket.
The Japanese manufacturer has nevertheless found the space to include between 4 GB and 16 GB of storage, depending on the version. An LED lets you know when a transfer is underway, to stop the impatient among us from overly hasty removal of the device. Two pieces of software are available for download: File Rescue to retrieve damaged files or those you've deleted by accident, and x-Pict Story for the creation of slideshows with photos and music.

The Sony Micro Vault USB 2.0 mini keys will be available in February in white, pink and green. Pricing hasn't yet been confirmed for the UK but we expect the 4 GB model to come in around the £10 mark, the 8 GB around £15 and the 16 GB around £35.
