Last Friday, our IT team presented some of the changes and new features that'll be coming soon on the DigitalVersus website.
The major changes to our back-office software and labs won't be immediately visible to readers, but as well as shaking up our internal systems, we'll be progressively updating certain parts of the website, starting on 1 November with the brand new Face-Off.
The new Face-Off will have more functions and will give DigitalVersus readers more options for effectively comparing and contrasting products. In the camera Face-Off, for example, you'll be able to scroll around in full-resolution images to compare specific parts of the test scene up close.
We showcased the new Face-Off on our stand at the Salon de la Photo camera show in Paris a few weeks ago to help us get a feel of how people would respond to and interact with the new tool. We've been using feedback from users and members of staff to make a few tweaks to the system, and there are still more changes to make before the Face-Off goes live next week. We hope you'll like it as much as we do!
Note that as a result of the changes to our internal systems, we won't be able to publish quite as much content as usual on Monday 31 October and Tuesday 1 November. However, we'll be back to business as usual on Wednesday 2 November.
