The CES—or Consumer Electronics Show—is undoubtedly the biggest and most important tech show of the year, even outdoing the IFA held in Berlin each September. Anyone who's anyone in the industry will be there to show off upcoming products and technological advances ... with the notable exception of Apple, however. It's a great opportunity for manufacturers to unveil new technologies, test out new concepts and generally take the temperature of the consumer market.
The products presented are usually at the cutting-edge of technology and many are still some way off hitting the high street. We're expecting to see web-connected TVs, 16-Megapixel compacts with record-breaking zooms, and a whole load of touchscreen tablets. It's a great occasion to see just what's going on in the world of consumer tech and to find out what kind of products and new technologies we could all be using the future.
