CES 2010 to see 3D Blu-ray on a PC

AMD and CyberLink are planning to demonstrate 3D Blu-ray discs for PCs at the CES in Las Vegas next month.

Every year, the American trade show plays host to a handful of technical innovations that mark the coming year in the consumer electronics world.  This year, 3D is certainly going to be one of them, with progress expected on televisions and computers.

On PCs, though, the first announcements of this year's show will come from AMD and CyberLink.  The two companies will demo a 1080p Blu-ray film in 3D using active 3D glasses, that alternate between blocking one eye and the other to simulate the appearance of depth
