Not much in common between the two compact digital cameras that we're looking at today. The Samsung ST50's strong point is its stylish design, with a classy, ultra-thin form that will slide easily into any pocket. That portability comes at a price, though, as it squeezes out room for features available on competing cameras like HD video and wide-angle zoom.
General Electric's E1050TW, meanwhile, has a more impressive spec, including a 5x zoom, 28 mm wide-angle lens, 720p HD video, HDMI output and a touchsreen interface. To pack all of this in, though, it's a bulkier camera with a muted, austere look.
Will the two cameras be able to make their mark in the highly competitive digital camera market??
