Camera Test: Samsung ST1000 has GPS

On paper, Samsung's ST1000 is a very competitive offering: it has a 5x zoom, a large 3.5'' touchscreen display, 720p HD video and both GPS and WiFi, all inside a camera that's less than two centimetres thick.  Will this little box of tricks live up to the hype though?

Amongst the specs, the main thing that stands out is the lack of a wide-angle (35-175 mm) and the slow lens.  Elsewhere, this new jewel in the Korean crown seems to have everything, with an impressive list of extra features like automatic geotagging and a DNLA-compatible WiFi mode for looking at your photos on a TV …

Will this little box of tricks live up to the hype though?
