3D video is finally beginning to make its way into camcorders aimed at the general public.  The new Sony HDR-TD10E is the first 'real' three dimensional camcorder in that it sports two separate lenses.

For once, the name 'two-in-one camcorder' is entirely accurate: the Sony TD10E uses two separate lenses and two separate sensors to shoot stereoscopic video in Full HD.

In another innovation, it's also the first camcorder with a 3D display.

It's certainly a very exciting prospect on paper—but Sony has managed to really make the concept work in practice too.
