Following the FX7 and the FX1000, Sony's AX2000E is the first top-of-the-range AVCHD prosumer camcorder. It films in Full HD and can store footage to either SDHC or Memory Stick memory cards.
It's a model that could well appeal to professional film-makers too, as for the first time, Sony has included XLR microphone sockets in what's essentially a consumer camcorder.
