Today, we're looking at two very different camcorders: one of them is aimed at busy bloggers on the go and sports fans, while the second is a more traditional offering that's hoping to woo families and tourists.
The Kodak Playsport Burton is the latest version of the firm's pocket cam concept first released back in 2010 and the result of a collaboration with the snowboarding firm. The lens, sensor and software haven't changed, but lots of accessories are now thrown in—can they justify the price rise?
The Sony HDR-CX160 is much more traditional: it's a Full HD camcorder that records 1080/50p video straight onto its 16 GB of internal memory. It's more expensive, of course, but still represents great value for an AVCHD camcorder—especially given that it includes a host of features normally reserved for more expensive camcorders, including a line in for a mic, a powerful zoom and active image stabilisation.
