Samsung, who habitually launch monitors we're not able to test, has seemed almost completely inactive since the beginning of the year. Things seem to be kicking into gear now though with 3 new Samsung backlet LED monitors.
Although the casing of the 22, 23 and 24 inch monitors, the BX2250, BX2350 and BX2450, seem similar to the Pxx70 series, its base has changed in appearance. Whether you like this new design or not, you have to say that it makes a change from the eternal round, square or rectangular bases that you find on most LCD monitors.
The specs are very standard. All three models have a 2ms TN panel at 1920x1080 pixels. There's a small change however in terms of video connectors with a VGA and 2 HDMI sockets in place of the VGA, DVI and HDMI trio. There's no point looking for the speakers as Samsung has opted for a headphones out that allows you to link your screen up to a sound kit or headphones.
To return to the base, it may well be different but that doesn't make it any more practical. It's a shame you can't adjust it vertically. You can only incline it by several degrees.
In terms of market value, as the price in pounds still hasn't been announced, we can only give you the dollars pricing. $269 for the 22 inch, $329 for the 23 inch and $359 for the 24 inch.
