The idea is simple enough: when a friend asks us which screen to buy,  we don't bore them with the details of every single product we've tested.  That's the principle behind our buyer's guide.  Instead of checking the forty or so individual tests, you can choose amongst the three or four best monitors, with a brief description of each one.  Of course, if you do want to find out more, there are plenty of links to the tests themselves.
