Burning a plasma: two weeks later

Recap on the rules of the game: following a debate on the forums, we decided to check whether plasma burning was still a problem or simply a myth we (among others) were perpetuating. So we chose our guinea pig, a Samsung plasma TV, and we submitted it to a programme of torture: first display of a fixed image for an hour, then 8 hours with variable settings.

The worst happened, the marks remained. We prescribed some rest and then two weeks after our last one hour test, almost four weeks after our 8 hour test, we had another look at the screen. Had the traces disappeared? To find out:
