Storage solutions specialist Buffalo Technology has released a new range of MicroStation internal solid state drives.
Buffalo's press release presents the new drives as the ideal solution for improving laptop performances and protecting data against shocks and bumps. However, the drives could also give a desktop computer a new lease of life, especially if it's running an old hard drive. These SSDs will be much quieter too.
As well as a SATA-2 connection, the MicroStation internal SSDs have a USB port for quick and easy connection to any computer, and an easy way to make a copy of your old drive's contents! It's just a shame that it's only USB 2.0!
The MicroStation internal SSD will be available in capacities of 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB, for a price of £120, £160, £300 and £560 respectively, which does seem a bit pricey for the capacities on offer.
