Things aren't so simple, however. The potential buyer has had to rethink its offer, freezing negotiations for the time being. Discussions had already been put back by a month, and now the companies have until the end of September to find a solution.
At the moment, nobody knows what will become of these two brands, and the only certainty is that the company's European staff have been paid off, including 360 workers at the factory in Aix-la-Chapelle, France, as well as teals in the UK, Italy, Spain and Poland.
