Colin Kapfinger and Ronald Mannak are calling their app, still in prototype, Air Guitar Move. All you need to get going is an iPhone or iPod Touch... and the desire to get your air action on.
The application uses an accessory to detect the movement of your fingers, a false plectrum linked to the iPhone and containing an accelerometer. Kapfinger and Mannak were trying to raise $25,000 to begin production of their plectrum by July 10, but they've exceeded their expectations and already have a total of just under $30,000, all promised through individual donations on their site.
These two fans of gadgets and music already have a bit of experience under their belt, with credits for the V-Beat AirDrums, allowing you to imitate a drummer, as well as a beatbox application, which caught the eye of Steve Wosniak, co-founder of Apple.
