Battlefield 3: Gameplay Sneak Preview!

Although pretty short, the trailer for the game was already impressive enough, but now DICE has released a second video which shows us the game in action. Call of Duty had better watch its back!


Battlefield 3 uses the Frostbite 2 engine which, among other things, brings vast and totally destructible levels to the game. The environments look well modelled too, with incredibility realistic and atmospheric lighting.


While the video shows gameplay in a city, don't forget that you can also get behind the wheel of several vehicles. This is one important feature of the Battlefield series which helped seal the success of the first versions of the game. It's particularly good fun in multiplayer mode (up to 64 players on PC).


Fans of the mouse/keyboard combo will be pleased to hear that the game is first and foremost designed for PC and has been subsequently adapted to consoles (XBOX 360 and PS3). Battlefield 3 should be released in the third quarter of 2011.
