As we reported last week, Starcraft II, the long-awaited follow-up to Blizzard's hit strategy game, has finally been released after an excruciating 12-year wait. If any of you Starcraft fans are using an ATI graphics card then listen up, as this could well be of interest to you.

Starcraft II doesn't allow you to activate anti-aliasing directly in the game's internal menus. However, anti-aliasing (AA) is a very handy function that can help keep the graphics looking smooth and realistic.

When this option isn't available in a game, AA has to be forced into action via the graphics drivers. This was possible as soon as Starcraft II was released with NVIDIA graphics cards, but it wasn't possible with ATI cards. However, a special version of the ATI Catalyst graphics driver has now been released to put this right.

Catalyst 10.7a is compatible with the Radeon HD 2000, 3000, 4000 and 5000 graphics cards, and with Windows XP, Vista and Seven. It's available to download from the ATI website.
