Fast charge--no more than 15 minutes
The BG-804 has a fast-recharge feature. That means you can fill the battery up to a certain level (usually between 50% and 80%) in just a few minutes.

It's very handy for when you need to leave in a hurry, but even a complete recharge only takes an hour, a very short period, all things considered.
Some manufacturers, like Jabra, are known for their top top-quality headsets that look like they'd be at home on the set of a science fiction movie.

Nokia, though, has gone for something more refined and discreet with the BH-804.

Fit and finish: light as a feather

Weighing just 6.2 g, the BG-804 sits very easily in your ear.  Despite being so light, though, it remains nice and snug, so there's no chance that it will fly out as soon as you move your head.  If you do move about a lot, then Nokia has included a small clip, but unfortunately, it's rather rigid.

There's a multifunction button that handles your calls as well as the volume of the earpiece.  It would have been easier to use if it were a little larger.

Nokia has done a good job by providing a neck strap with the BG-804.  It's smart and classy, not just a simple cord.  There's also a desktop charging station (see inset).

Audio Quality:  Full steam ahead with DSP

The BG-804 is light and compact.  That makes it comfortable to wear, but isn't necessarily great for audio quality.  Nokia has once again proved that it knows how to combine performance and portability.  The earpiece works very well and is helped by a series of different caps that fit to the shape of your ear.

The mic uses some very powerful filters that produces a very clear audio signal.  It's harder to do any better, within the current limits of Bluetooth, anyway.

This headset is pitched as a high-end option, and it doesn't disappoint.  With decent quality audio and a good selection of accessories, the BH-804 is one of the best headsets that we've ever tested.

-

Very light but still solid

-

Clear sound from both mic and earpiece

-

Rapid charge (around 15 minutes)

-

Ear clip too firm

-

Demonstrates the current limits of Bluetooth technology

Very much a top-class product, the BG-804 lives up to is stylish exterior, with is excellent sound, comfortable fit, a lightweight frame and excellent accessories. It's a shame that it still has a few small faults, none of which are particularly unacceptable.
