The idea behind this is article is to archive 40" to 49'' TVs from previous generations. Every time a manufacturer produces a new range of TVs, we gradually move its predecessors onto this page. This means you can find our test results for models that are still available second-hand or on sale in shops selling end-of-line stock.

Note that our reviews and scores date from the date of the original test, and aren't kept up to date.  This means that you can't compare them directly with more recent models, either from late 2008 and early 2009, or the latest models.
