And the VX2245wm? Even Better!
The same design with revised ergonomics, ViewSonic also offers the VX2245wm. The bezel, panel, finishing touches, performance and connections are the same. However, they have added a 4 port USB hub, speakers (it’s modest but as Matbe.com says is better than classic integrated speakers or a small 2.0 kit when viewing shared videos on DailyMotion and Co), an 8-in-1 card reader, and an iPod station.

The VX2245wm is a little more expensive, but is largely more attractive. It has a star more than its smaller sibling.

> The best prices for the VX2245wm

The VX series is, according to ViewSonic, amust in terms of display and leisure material. They also say that these products are a successful combination of design and the latest technology. We can easily admit that the VX2235wm has a stylish look, and it’s even one of the rare 22 inch displays to be elegant and original. The competition often sacrificed in this area mainly in finishing touches and the quality of plastic in order to make prices more enticing. Here this isn’t the case. The combination of black and gray plastic is nice, on the back there is a cable guide, a DVI connection, and even a little container on the base for knickknacks. Also, color rendering is very good indicating that manufacturers have greatly progressed in this area since last year.

120 Euros of difference with the Mirai, ouch!

We tend to hesitate on the price. The VX2235wm costs 120 Euros more than the Mirai, which more or less has the same components and ergonomics. The VX2235wm isn’t vertically adjustable, does not pivot and has no hub. And it can’t even claim to have better colors as the two screens are equivalent in this domain. This is also true for reactivity as they both integrate TN 5 ms panels.

Miraï comes out on top for one point. Their monitor is guaranteed for 3 years versus 2 for the VX2235wm.  Note that another ViewSonic 22 inch, a little less stylish but less expensive and with better ergonomics, the VG2230wm, is guaranteed for 3 years.
In the end, it’s more expensive in exchange for a slightly more attractive bezel.

Like all TNs, lower viewing angle darkens

No zero dead pixel policy

Ergonomics : no rotation, vertical adjustment, only inclinable

Afterglow greater than with TN 4ms or less

The VX2245wm really seduced us with its hub, card reader and just the integrated speakers alone. However, it does have a higher price. As for the VX2235wm, we think the competition offers better quality price ratios.
