Connected to a PC
It’s becoming common with Full HD TVs: a PC’s 1920x1080 mode fits perfectly on the TV via the HDMI. You simply have to press the "P. Size" button on the remote to set the ratio to "Scan only" and thus benefit from the display of all pixels with no trimming.

This television is the 52 inch version of the 32 inch which we tested:  the LE32A558.

Characteristics, the panel and circuitry are identical and only brightness may vary slightly which minimally affects contrast. According to manufacturers (and our tests confirm), results from one diagonal size can easily be extrapolated to identical models of bigger or smaller sizes.

The larger size of this version accentuates the lack of sharpness with SD sources (TVs, Wii-type game consoles, DVD players, etc.) which we noticed on the 32 inch.  For other characteristics, it offers a nice display and numerous options.  Otherwise, we especially missed an HD compatible digital tuner on this model.

-

Contrast and depth of black

-

Fluidity thanks to Motion Plus (can be deactivated)

-

Numerous options

-

Digital tuner isn’t HD compatible

-

SD rescaling lacks a bit of precision

If it had an HD digital tuner, the A558 would have received a fifth star. Luckily, there is exactly this component on the A568.
