Windows XP

Download and install Microsoft’s color management utility WinColor.

Download the profile offered in the following pages to:

C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\color\

In WinColor’s control panel (after installation of WinColor), open the Profiles window. Load the copied file, our calibration profile.

To install the profile, just click on Install and select the downloaded file.

In the following window, Devices, select Displays in the scroll down menu then click on Add to add the profile corresponding to your screen.

The list of installed profiles will appear in the window Color Profiles.

Finally, click on Set as Default.  Now, if the profile is indeed applied the screen’s colors should change.  To go back to your former settings, click on Remove and delete the recently installed profile.

Windows Vista

The windows are in French but you should be able to follow.
Paste the downloaded profile in:

C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\color\

Next right click on the desktop, Personalized > Display settings > Advanced settings, and then the Color management tab. Click on the color management button.

Vista has a module for color management.

Check "Use my settings for this peripheral", the only box on this page.

Click on "Add", select the ICC profile and validate it for your default profile.  Click on the "Advanced" tab in Profile of this peripheral and select the installed ICC profile.  This is also the place to go if you want to go back to your default settings in case there is a problem.
