The Macbook Pro has only a DVI output but this also works in VGA. We were therefore able to test four configurations even if only the two in DVI are of real interest. There is a blank display when the screens were connected in VGA via an adaptor.
As usual with presettings the 2232BW’s display is slightly bluish while the VP930 is noticeably pinkish.
After installation of the profiles:

- average dE > 3: visible differences which can sometimes be problematic
- average dE < 3: good color fidelity and can be considered satisfactory.
- average dE < 2: excellent and good for touching up photos.
- average dE < 1: we can safely say that the human eye won’t detect the slight differences.
The two screens come out with flying colors (excuse the pun) or in other words perfectly calibrated. Some may have doubted that a profile created with a PC in Vista would not be entirely suited to a Mac OS when only the screen is identical. Here we had the same panel and interface.
