Once again, PNY delivers an SDHC card without specifying the Class. This may sound alarming for the supposed performances of this model because after having tested another "un-Classed" PNY card, results were very good in reading but rather average in writing.
Results consistent with the 4 GB
In practice, results were almost identical to those obtained with the 4 GB version. This meant mediocre writing speeds of around 4.9 MB/s for audio type files. In reading, it’s much better with a maximum of 17.9 MB/s or equal to ATP and Panasonic models which are the two current bests. On the other hand, this card does less well with our digital reflex where it obtained an average of 1.3 images / second on a burst mode of 30 shots. More specifically, speed started to decrease on the tenth photo. This can be compared to the 3 images / second obtained with better models.

Relatively slow with a reflex
An interesting card for owners of digital cameras with big sensors. While reading performances were truly excellent and allow unloading the card quickly, this isn’t the case for writing. For this reason, those who really like to use their burst mode can pass on this card.
