The Porta Pro is not new and we might as well tell you from the start that they are a sure value. These open headphones feature a headband that sits on the top of your head. In addition, the headband is folding which permits easier transportation and can also be adjusted in length for a better fit. In terms of the pressure on the ears, the Porta Pro is equipped with a mechanical system with three positions: light, medium and firm. Note this product also exists in a behind-the-head version, the Sporta Pro.
For sound quality, the Porta Pro is a reference in its category and you will be amazed by its particular clearness and good presence. In fact, the strong point of these headphones is their very clear and full production of mediums. Basses are also good with round and powerful sounds that aren’t excessive. Furthermore, basses are well seated and this even significantly sets them apart, for example, from the very good Sennheiser PX100. Finally, highs are very satisfactory and overall balance is well respected.
As for comfort, the only defect we encountered was that the metal headband sometimes got caught up in our hair when we put them on. The last point to dampen our enthusiasm was the square and somewhat indiscreet look if we were to wear them in public. With very similar quality, the PX100 offers a more appealing design
